Alison Ainsworth is a singer/songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. Brought up listening to The Beatles, Crowded House and Neil Young and inspired by her older brother, Alison began writing songs.

After having to pick up guitar out of necessity in order to accompany her lyrics she started recording from home and doing local gigs in and around Melbourne's inner city.

In December 2012 she landed a spot in Kate Ceberano's band, singing back up vocals and playing rhythmn guitar. Whilst preparing for their upcoming tour in October 2013 Kate also invited Alison to be her support act, playing at 21 different locations throughout Australia.

Alison' s songwriting has been described as raw and grounded. Influenced more by Australian artists such as Josh Pyke and Melody Pool, her music is driven by lyrics and experience. Mood and atmosphere is a quality that she trys to capture in her live performance and recording.

She is currently involved in several musical ventures including a James Taylor tribute show with one of  Melbourne's most in demand and upcoming guitarist Kathleen Halloran.
